 y has passed since Michael Grimmitt published the 
 seminal Pedagogies of Religious Education. This in
 fluential volume summarised the various approaches
  to religious education generated in England after
  the 1988 Education Act\, which first made the inc
 lusion of the ‘world religions’ statutory. </p>\n 
 \n <p>Grimmitt noted that all the classical pedago
 gical models\, though fundamentally different\, sh
 ared the same secular and foundational assumption:
  the methods for religious education must lie outs
 ide of religious traditions. At a time of whole-sc
 ale review of the RE curriculum\, these workshops 
 take a different tack. </p>\n \n <blockquote>\n <p
 >What if the pedagogical methods of religions\, wh
 en shared outside the confines of religious commun
 ities\, could provide a richer\, more inclusive le
 arning experience\, and one that promotes even gre
 ater understanding? </p>\n </blockquote>\n \n <p>T
 his one-day symposium is organised by Dr Daniel Mo
 ulin\, University Associate Professor (Faculty of 
 Education) in partnership with the Cambridge Inter
 faith Research Forum. Moulin leads training for sp
 ecialist teachers of Religious Studies at the Univ
